About this course

The Modding Masterclass covers console modification the responsible way: what softmods and hardware mods actually are, how homebrew and custom firmware work, legal boundaries, safety, and how to help customers without enabling piracy.

Starting with the fundamentals, you will learn the difference between softmods and hardware mods, the law around console modification, and the honest ground rules of the trade. Then you will go deep into custom firmware and homebrew across PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo platforms, and into hardware mods - the chips, switches and wiring that change a console physically.

You will also learn to stay safe in a scene full of scams and malware, how to handle the piracy conversation professionally, and how to run a responsible modding service customers trust.
