Navigation menus
Create a menu
Appearance → Menus (or Customizer → Menus)\n1. Create a new menu: "Main Menu"\n2. Add pages, posts or custom links\n3. Assign it to the primary location\n4. SaveMenus in block themes
Block themes manage navigation with the Navigation block inside the Site Editor — you add the block and pick or create the menu inside it.
Widgets
Widgets are small content blocks (search, recent posts, newsletter signup) that live in sidebars or footer areas. Classic themes manage them under Appearance → Widgets.
Practical exercise
Create a Main Menu with your pages, then add a footer widget with a short "About" text.
