Introducing the Site Editor

The new way

The Site Editor (Appearance → Editor on block themes) lets you edit every part of your site — header, footer, templates and global styles — in one visual screen.

What you can edit

• Templates — single, page, archive, 404
• Parts — reusable header and footer
• Styles — global colours, fonts, spacing
• Pages/Patterns — full-page layouts you can reuse

The editor experience

You select a template or part, click any block, and edit it directly on the page. Changes apply instantly with a live preview.

Tip: The Site Editor and the Customizer overlap on block themes — the Editor is the newer, more powerful tool.
