About this course

Every console generation fights the same battle: running out of space. This masterclass covers storage across all platforms - internal drive swaps, external HDD and SSD use, game transfers, backup strategies and keeping a game library organised.

You will start with storage fundamentals - how HDDs, SSDs and NVMe drives work and why consoles use them the way they do - then move to hands-on work: upgrading the internal drive on every major console, cloning and reinstalling, using external drives correctly, and moving saves and libraries between consoles.

You will finish with the professional side: advising customers on the right storage, running storage upgrades as a paid service, and the data-safety habits that keep libraries safe.
