About this course

The PlayStation 5 is the most powerful console Sony has ever made, and millions of them are already being cleaned, upgraded and repaired by a new generation of technicians. This hands-on course turns you from console owner into a confident PS5 technician.

Starting from the inside out, you will learn the hardware that makes the PS5 tick — the custom AMD APU, the lightning-fast SSD and every model Sony has shipped so far. You will learn how to open the console safely, clean it properly, and how to handle its liquid-metal cooling with the care it demands.

You will also learn how to diagnose the common faults: no power, disc drive errors, dead controllers, missing video. And on the digital side, you will learn how saves and cloud data work, how to expand storage the right way, and how to understand firmware, homebrew and the law around console modding without falling for scams.

By the end you will be able to service a PS5 from open to close, explain its faults clearly, and make smart, safe decisions about cooling, storage and firmware.

Requirements
