Welcome to charm making
Charms are tiny, wearable, personal objects - and making them is one of the most rewarding crafts you can learn on a tabletop budget. In a single sitting you can create a polymer clay keychain, a glossy resin pendant, a beaded charm bracelet or a shrink-plastic keyring. This course teaches all four happily side by side.
What you will make

How the course is structured
- Module 1 - getting started: materials, tools and a budget setup
- Module 2 - polymer clay: conditioning, sculpting, colour and baking
- Module 3 - resin charms: safety, colour, embedding and glossy finishing
- Module 4 - beading and wirework: jump rings, clasps and finished pieces
- Module 5 - selling: packaging, pricing, photography and your first sales
What you will need to begin
- A flat, clean tabletop with good light
- A basic craft kit - pliers, craft knife, toothpicks (full list in Lesson 3)
- One beginner pack of polymer clay or a small shrink-plastic kit
- An open mind - perfection comes with your third or fourth attempt
Tip: Start with the cheapest material that excites you. Polymer clay and shrink plastic have the smallest start-up cost, so beginners often begin there and graduate to resin later.
