The security layers

The PS5 verifies software at multiple levels: the hypervisor (the deepest layer that separates the system from games), the system software (the OS you see), and signed code requirements at every step. Breaking one layer is not enough - the whole chain must fall.

Why this matters

A modern console is not "jailbroken" by one trick. The community must find and chain multiple vulnerabilities across layers, and Sony patches each one in the next firmware. That is why PS5 modding is slower, rarer and more fragile than on older consoles.

Warning: If someone offers you a "full PS5 jailbreak, any firmware", they are almost certainly selling a scam. Real progress is version-specific and well-documented.
