Design the frame, not just the page
The Theme Builder lets you design the parts of your site WordPress normally controls — the header, footer, single post layout and archive layouts.
Create a header
Templates → Theme Builder → Header\nAdd New → choose a header template\n# or build from a blank canvas\nDrag in a Logo widget, Menu widget, Button\nSet the layout to full width\nPublish → set the display conditionsDisplay conditions
Conditions control where the part appears — e.g. "Entire Site", or "Singular" for posts. This is how one header applies everywhere.
Common theme parts
- Header — logo, menu, call-to-action
- Footer — copyright, links, contact
- Single Post — post title, content, author
- 404 — the "not found" page
- Archive — category and tag layouts
Practical exercise
Build a simple custom footer with your site name, a short menu, and a copyright line, then apply it to the entire site.
